Job Overview
Learning Assistant (Fixed Term) at North West Community Campus (Primary), working 27.5 hours per week, term time over 39 weeks per year up to 1 July 2026.
The salary range is £17,685.57 - £18,777.80. These positions may be suitable for a Secondment, with agreement from your line manager.
Responsibilities
As a Learning Assistant, you will build strong relationships with children and young people, helping them take part in lessons, encouraging independence, supporting them in learning new skills, and helping them make friends.
You will support children and young people with additional support needs to help them overcome barriers to their learning and reach their full potential.
Qualifications and Experience
The successful candidates must be educated to SCQF Level 4 (e.g. Standard Grade General, National 4) or equivalent, including Numeracy and Literacy or equivalent, and have experience of working with children and/or young people.
Experience of working with children/young people with additional support needs is advantageous. A willingness to undertake training is required.

These posts are considered as Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to formal offer of employment.
Applicants who have been resident outside the UK within the last 5 years will be required to provide a completed police record check from the police authority in the country or countries in which they were resident.
