Crossing Patrol (Permanent) at St Michaels Primary School, Dumfries
Salary: £4,593.44 - £4,672.37
You will work 7.5 hours per week (1.5 hours daily – 8.25am - 9.15am, and 2.50pm - 3.30pm weekdays) over 38 weeks per year.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting school pupils in crossing a potentially busy highway.
- Undertaking duties concerned with the safe passage of school children and other pedestrians across the road to and from school.
- Controlling and directing traffic at crossing areas.
- Operating hazard warning signs and identifying any roadside hazards.
- Controlling the behaviour of children at crossing areas.
The post will involve working in all weather conditions.
This position is considered as Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates are required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to formal offer of employment being made by Dumfries.
