Are you passionate about supporting people and driving change? We are seeking an experienced HR professional to join our team to support us to embed and lead our HRBP model, ensuring its effective development, implementation and measurement. You will drive cultural change, champion workforce transformation and lead on HR projects that enable an agile, high-performing, and inclusive workforce. Working with a designated Directorate Management Team you will develop a full understanding of the business and act as an enabler to influence, shape and deliver HR and people strategies that drive people and business performance. This is an exciting opportunity to influence and shape the Council's future ensuring that HR is at the forefront of transformation and operational excellence. The role is critical in fostering collaboration and partnership with the broader HR partnering team, ensuring a unified and cohesive approach to delivering HR services.
What You'll Do:
- Work in partnership with the Senior HR Business Partner to develop, implement and deliver a high quality, proactive HR Service using the Service and team plans that reflect the council's needs.
- Successfully deliver on key projects.
- Provide professional advice and support across the HR function.
- Contribute to the delivery of the Team plan, aligned to the Council Plan and People Strategy.
- Deliver an 'enabling manager agenda' including delivery of training and coaching to Managers on HR matters to build organisational and people capability.
What We're Looking For:
- Educated to degree/Diploma level or equivalent relevant qualification with Associate/Chartered membership of CIPD.
- Considerable and demonstrable experience of working as an HR professional including detailed knowledge of employment law and HR policies, project and change management frameworks, business systems and HR data, metrics and processes.
- Exceptional communication, influencing and negotiating skills and ability to build rapport and professional credibility.
- Experience of working collaboratively with managers, employees and Trade Unions, with excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
