Cargenbridge Primary School, part of Dumfries and Galloway Council, is seeking to appoint a dynamic leader with vision and a passion for learning. The successful candidate will lead learning at Cargenbridge Primary School, which includes a Nursery setting, and will have the opportunity to shape educational provision supported by a Nursery Manager.

The school is located on the outskirts of Dumfries and has an excellent reputation within the local community, characterised by a welcoming ethos, supportive parents, a friendly staff team, and enthusiastic young people. We are looking for a leader ready for the exciting challenge of leading a vibrant school community.

As Headteacher, you will:

Applicants must have proven leadership qualities and experience in primary education. A significant relocation package of up to £5000 is available to the successful candidate.

Applicants for teaching posts must be registered with the General Teaching Council for Scotland. This post is considered as Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to formal offer of employment.
