We are seeking to appoint a dynamic leader with vision and a passion for learning who will, along with a management team, lead learning at Rephad Primary School, which includes a Nursery setting and, from August 2025, a new Learning Centre. The position offers an exciting opportunity to shape educational provision and is supported by a Depute Headteacher, Learning Centre Principal Teacher, and Nursery Manager.
Rephad Primary is situated in the picturesque market town of Stranraer in the west of Dumfries and Galloway, overlooking Loch Ryan and the Ailsa Craig to the north. The school is located in the east of the town beside Stranraer Academy. It has easy access to the A75 east towards Dumfries and north along the A77 leading to Ayr and Glasgow. The school has an excellent reputation in the local community, with a welcoming ethos, supportive parents, a friendly staff, and enthusiastic students.
We seek a leader ready for an exciting challenge in leading a vibrant school community. You should have a vision and passion for improving outcomes for all students and meeting individual needs. As Headteacher, you will lead the school\’s improvement agenda and development priorities with a professional staff team.
