Job Description Senior Customer Service Advisor (19/311) Dumfries £28,815 - £30,597 Are you energetic, enthusiastic and committed to delivering excellent customer service?

These roles are based within Customer Services Centres which bring together Libraries, Local Studies & Archives, Registration, and face to face Customer Services.

The role involves a combination of delivering services to customers while also supporting and supervising an onsite staff team.

In a typical day you’ll transition between delivering services direct to customers to conducting health and safety audits and meeting with staff.

This role provides a career pathway for a professional library career.

The successful candidate will be supported to complete a Customer Service Diploma (in partnership with Dumfries and Galloway College) as well as Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals associate membership, helping you progress towards professional librarian status.

Ideally, you’ll have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to deal with customer enquiries sensitively.

You’ll have experience working face to face with customers as well as practical knowledge of supervising staff teams.

This is an ideal opportunity to join our team working across Dumfries which includes our flagship Ewart Library!

Some evening/weekend working will be required, and a current driving licence is an essential requirement of this post.

However, if you have a disability which precludes you from holding a driving licence consideration will be given if alternative transport can be arranged.
