The predicted salary is between 14727 - 15467 £ per year.

You will be required to work 17.5 hours per week, 52.14 weeks per year. The Youth Work Service are offering an exciting opportunity for an individual who is highly motivated, digitally creative and has experience in working with young people. The ideal candidate will be proficient in the creation of eye-catching and engaging videos and images to be used online and across social media, that would be co-produced with young people aged 12-25.

You will use, create and write content for online platforms and also provide information to young people online. You should be motivated and interested in working with and engaging young people aged 12 in an informal way. You will have experience in youth work, as well as content creation. You should be willing to work evenings and weekends on a weekly basis. The post holder will be expected to work 5 evenings per week.

This post is considered as Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. From 28 February 2011, preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to formal offer of employment being made by Dumfries and Galloway Council. Applicants who have been resident outside the UK within the last 5 years, if offered the position, in addition to a Disclosure Scotland Check, will be required to provide a completed police record check from the police authority in the country or countries in which they were resident.

Requirements:

  • A current driving licence is an essential requirement of this post. However, if you have a disability which precludes you from holding a driving licence consideration will be given if alternative transport can be arranged.
