Join our award-winning school cleaning team at Dumfries Academy. We’re looking for a Cleaner to join our friendly, supportive team. This role is ideal if you are looking for term-time, family-friendly hours in a job where your work is valued and appreciated.

About the role

You’ll help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors. No previous experience is required - full training will be provided.

Your duties will include:

  • Cleaning classrooms, corridors, washrooms, and shared areas
  • Maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety
  • Supporting service improvements through our “Find it Clean, Keep it Clean” ethos
  • Working independently with support from the wider team

Working hours

You will be required to work 9.75 hours per week, 39 weeks per year.

This post is considered as Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
