\\nThe Single Access Point (SAP) in Carruthers House Dumfries.
\\n\\nThe SAP represents an integrated ‘single front door’ approach to access Health and Social Care Services. The team is multi-agency collaboration comprised of members of the Region’s Health and Social Care Partnership, based in Irish Street, Dumfries.
\\n\\nThe support provided by the Single Access Point is designed to deliver a consistent system of triage which has established routes into short, medium, and longer-term intervention and care. The assistance your role provides will limit the demands placed on locality offices by administering referrals on behalf of Children and Families Social Work, Adult Care Social Work, Health and Social Care Partnership as well as Health non-clinical emergencies.
\\n\\nAdvert cont...To do this you will be able to evidence information gathering skills that can identify the needs of individuals and their families. This means responding to phone calls and e-mails from the public in a sensitive and professional manner and then being able to carry out the administrative tasks to connect them to the required support.

\\ncalm under pressure and will thrive in a fast-paced working environment. You must have experience of dealing with members of the public and will appreciate the confidential and sensitive nature of this post.
\\n\\nYou should understand the core values of social work that maintain the integrity and continuous improvement of our service. In turn, we will provide you with regular supervision and relevant training to ensure your personal and professional development.
\\n\\nExtended experience of working in a social care setting or administrative setting and SCQF level 4 or equivalent in a relevant subject are essential requirements for the post.
\\nThis post is considered as Regulated Work with Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. From 28 February 2011, preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to formal offer of employment being made by Dumfries and Galloway Council.
\\n\\nApplicants who have been resident outside the UK within the last 5 years, if offered a position, in addition to a Disclosure Scotland Check, will be required to provide a completed police record check from the police authority in the country or countries in which they were resident.
\\nPlease note that due to the current systems used and nature of the role this post is office based.
