Casual Refuse & Recycling Operative
\nDumfries and Lockerbie areas
\n£13.95 per hour
\n \nDuties will include:-
\n \n- \n
- Collection of Refuse, Recyclable materials, Food Waste, White Goods and special uplifts for disposal. \n
- Other tasks relating to Waste Collection Services functions. \n
- When required, drive and be responsible for the safe operation of allocated vehicles. \n
An excellent opportunity has arisen for recruitment within Facilities, Waste and Neighbourhood Services.
\nOur Refuse and Recycling Team work within the heart of our communities across Dumfries & Galloway.
\nWe are looking for potential candidates within those communities to operate from depots in Lockerbie and Dumfries, on an as and when required basis, to help us deliver essential services throughout the region.
\nYou will be expected to carry out various duties as instructed by the Waste Supervisor.
\nYou should have a working knowledge of Health and Safety requirements.
\nYou will be required to work predominantly as a team member.
\nThis post is subject to candidate vetting through Disclosure Scotland.
\nYou will be educated to Standard Grade Level.
\nFull valid current driving license would be beneficial.
