Duties will include:
- Collection of Refuse, Recyclable materials, Food Waste, White Goods and special uplifts for disposal.
- Other tasks relating to Waste Collection Services functions.
- When required, drive and be responsible for the safe operation of allocated vehicles.
An excellent opportunity has arisen for recruitment within Facilities, Waste and Neighbourhood Services. Our Refuse and Recycling Team work within the heart of our communities across Dumfries & Galloway. We are looking for potential candidates within those communities to operate from depots in Lockerbie, Dumfries, Castle Douglas and Stranraer, on an as and when required basis, to help us deliver essential services throughout the region.
You will be expected to carry out various duties as instructed by the Waste Supervisor. You should have a working knowledge of Health and Safety requirements. You will be required to work predominantly as a team member. This post is subject to candidate vetting through Disclosure Scotland. You will be educated to Standard Grade Level. Full valid current driving license would be beneficial.
