The predicted salary is between 27400 - 29000 Β£ per year.
Based in Dumfries, the post holder will work within the Building Standards team. We are looking to recruit a Building Standards Inspector who will carry out site inspections, determine completion certificates, assess building warrant applications and provide assistance to members of the public on matters relating to Building Standards with a clear emphasis on improvement, performance delivery and customer service.
You should be educated to a minimum HNC level in construction, or possess demonstrable experience in a construction related discipline which must include experience of inspecting construction works. You must also have considerable construction knowledge, the ability to understand construction drawings and possess effective IT skills. You must have a good standard of written and spoken English, be able to prioritise and manage your time effectively, work well under pressure and as part of a team. A clean current driving licence is essential.
