What\'s the Job?

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Hairdressing Lecturer to join our Lifestyle curriculum team on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and support learners in developing the technical, creative, and professional skills needed for a successful career in the hairdressing industry.

The role involves planning and delivering high-quality lessons, practical workshops, and assessments across a range of levels, while supporting students to achieve qualifications and progress into employment, apprenticeships, or further study.

Who we\'re looking for

We\'re looking for someone who is passionate about teaching and the hairdressing profession. You\'ll bring:

· A recognised qualification in Hairdressing (minimum SCQF Level 8 or equivalent experience).

· Up-to-date industry knowledge and skills.

· At least 2 years of relevant industry experience (teaching or training experience desirable).

· Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.

· A teaching qualification (TQFE/PGCE) or willingness to work towards one

· Proficiency in digital skills relevant to the role, including experience using MS Office

All staff are required to become a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) membership scheme, which is managed and delivered by Disclosure Scotland.
