Dumfries | Full time | Permanent | £30,716 - £33,071 per year
We’re looking for a full time Childcare Assessor to join our Skills Delivery Team. Assessors will deliver from the following qualifications, depending on experience and relevant qualifications: Social Services Children & Young People (Childcare) – SCQF Levels 7 & 9. You don’t need to be able to deliver all levels — we welcome applicants with expertise in any of the above areas.
The Skills Delivery Team is responsible for delivering certificated and bespoke professional courses, SVQs, MAs and Open Learning courses in a college that aims to be one step ahead. The Work-based Learning Social Care team are a growing and evolving team who deliver SVQs and Modern Apprenticeships.
Who we’re looking for?
We’re looking for people with experience of working in Childcare settings. Recent experience working in the sector and knowledge of current working practices are essential. Experience as an assessor is desirable but training and certification will be provided. To succeed in the role, you will have some or all the following:
- Relevant Qualification at a minimum of SCQF Level 7
- Experience of working in relevant Childcare setting is essential.
- Experience as a work-based Assessor desirable.
- Excellent time management and planning skills are required to manage a portfolio of candidates.
- Strong customer service and relationship building skills.
- Good/ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience using MS Office is required to be able to use College systems and online portfolios.
- Proficiency in digital skills relevant to the role, including experience using MS Office and any job-specific software/systems.
- Adaptability to evolving digital opportunities and willingness to continuously improve digital competencies.
- Full driving licence essential.
