Join our team and help bring the story of a great English manor to life, one table at a time.
At Dumbleton Hall, we do not simply run a hotel — we steward a great English manor, where every guest is received as the honoured guest of the family. Fires are lit, dinner is served, and life unfolds as it once did in the Golden Age of English country houses. Set in the richest pocket of the Cotswolds, our story reaches back to the Holland family, the literary circles of Gaskell, Dickens and Darwin, the Mitford sisters, and poet laureate John Betjeman. Today, we continue that tradition, offering guests a living narrative of culture and hospitality drawn from the Belle Époque, the 1920s, and artistic touchstones such as William Morris and Frederic Leighton.
As a Waiter or Waitress at Dumbleton Hall, you are at the very heart of our guests' experience. Whether serving breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, or an evening in our restaurant, you bring warmth, polish and genuine hospitality to every table — welcoming guests by name, anticipating their needs, and helping create moments that feel grand yet warmly human.

- Take food and drink orders accurately, offering confident recommendations across the menu, wine list and daily specials.

- Set up and break down the restaurant, ensuring tables, linen, glassware and cutlery meet the Hall's standards of polish.
- Adapt service style across breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, fine dining and private events.
- Liaise closely with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth, well-paced service.
- Support weddings, private events and seasonal occasions — from the Cheltenham Festival to the Gold Cup — as part of the wider events team.

- Process payments and maintain accurate records where required.
- Uphold health, safety, food hygiene and allergen standards at all times.
