Dulwich College is looking for a Learning Support Teacher to join our friendly and experienced team working with pupils in Years 7-13. Our Learning Support Department plays an important role in helping pupils succeed within our fast-paced academic curriculum. We support students with a range of learning needs, including dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADHD and autism spectrum conditions, as well as pupils who do not have a formal diagnosis. Around 200 pupils are on our Learning Support Register, with about 90 receiving regular support.
What youโll do
- Deliver one-to-one and small-group support
- Help pupils develop literacy, study skills and organisation
- Work closely with teachers and pastoral staff
- Provide advice on classroom strategies
- Contribute to training on SEND where needed
Qualifications
- Knowledge or experience of supporting pupils with learning differences
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Positive, patient and pupil-focused
- Experience in a school setting is helpful but not essential
