We are seeking a dedicated and professional Qualified Dental Nurse to join our dental practice on a full-time basis or through job sharing arrangements. The successful candidate will provide exceptional patient care, support the dental team, and ensure the smooth running of daily operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your nursing skills within a friendly and supportive environment, contributing to the delivery of high-quality dental services.

Responsibilities

  • Assist dentists during various dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
  • Prepare treatment rooms and sterilise instruments in accordance with infection control protocols
  • Provide pre- and post-treatment care instructions to patients
  • Manage patient records accurately using IT systems and ensure confidentiality at all times
  • Support with administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling and patient correspondence
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe clinical environment
  • Communicate effectively with patients, addressing any concerns or questions they may have
  • Uphold high standards of hygiene and infection control throughout all procedures

Qualifications

  • Recognised qualification as a Dental Nurse or equivalent, registered with the General Dental Council (GDC)
  • Proven experience in patient care within a dental setting is desirable
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently
  • Competent in using IT systems relevant to dental practice management
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a caring and professional approach towards patients and colleagues
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
