Dukes Tutoring is seeking a dynamic, qualified teacher to design and deliver engaging leadership workshops for Dukes Education’s Key Stage 2 pupils as part of a structured junior leadership programme. The successful candidate will also play a key role in supporting online holiday provision for Key Stage 5 pupils which would involve facilitation of an academic webinar series. This is an excellent opportunity for an educator passionate about developing character, critical thinking, and aspiration across a wide age range.

Key Stage 2 Leadership Programme (term time)

  • Delivery high-quality, interactive 3-hour in-person workshops for Year 3-6 pupils as part of a structured leadership programme.
  • Lead activities to nurture students’ character development and critical thinking. Workshops will focus on skills including creativity, communication, collaboration and cognisance.
  • Deliver parent webinars linked to the workshop.
  • The successful candidate will be willing to travel to Dukes Education schools, including some international travel.

Key Stage 5 Academic Webinar Series (school holidays)

  • Plan and facilitate a series of webinars introducing future university applicants to application pathways such as Oxbridge, Medicine, and Law, alongside enriching supercurricular topics that will support development of students’ subject insight, academic curiosity and application readiness (e.g. interview preparation and personal statements).
  • Plan the curriculum of the online webinar series to align with specific university application objectives.
  • Commission trusted tutors from our network to design and deliver these webinars.
  • Develop a strong understanding of our tutors to ensure webinar sessions are reliably delivered and high quality.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support the Dukes Tutoring team in delivering primary tutoring and workshop delivery ad hoc.
  • Collaborate on team tasks and provide cover for absence where capacity allows.

Skills and Experience

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Key Stage 2 pupils.
  • Strong classroom presence with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to deliver engaging, interactive workshops.
  • Passion for character education and leadership development.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple programmes.
  • Experience delivering online learning or webinars.
  • Enthusiastic, inspiring and adaptable.
  • Familiarity with university application pathways (desirable but not essential).
  • Background in debating, philosophy or critical thinking education (desirable but not essential).

Salary: £40,000 per annum

Position type: Permanent, full time

Working days: Monday – Friday, 9am-5.30pm (9am-5pm on Fridays)

Location: Term time will involve visits to Dukes Education schools in the UK, Ireland and Switzerland. We anticipate that international travel will be required in future. During school holidays, there will be an opportunity for hybrid working, including at least two days working from our office at 58 Buckingham Gate, London, SW1E 6AJ.
