We are seeking to appoint an outstanding and committed SENDCo to join our busy, successful and nurturing prep school for a 12-month maternity cover. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced SEND practitioner—or an ambitious teacher ready to take the next step—to lead and develop SEND provision within a supportive and forward‑thinking environment. The role offers genuine scope to make a meaningful impact, ensuring that every pupil is supported to thrive both academically and pastorally.
Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, you will play a central role in shaping and delivering an inclusive, pupil‑centred approach to learning across the school.
The RoleThe successful candidate will:
- Lead and manage SEND and Learning Enhancement provision across the school
- Deliver targeted interventions, including 1:1 and small group teaching
- Monitor pupil progress and implement effective, evidence‑based support strategies
- Work closely with teaching staff to promote high‑quality, inclusive classroom practice
- Liaise confidently with parents and external professionals to support pupil outcomes
- Ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice and statutory requirements
- Contribute to whole‑school development as a member of the Senior Leadership Team

- Has experience working with pupils with a range of additional needs
- Demonstrates strong knowledge of SEND practice and current legislation
