The Pointer School is an Independent prep and pre-prep in Blackheath, South East London. We are seeking an inspirational, dedicated, and enthusiastic sports graduate to join our thriving PE department which delivers outstanding sports and games lessons to all children in the school aged 3 to 11.

The successful candidate will have a passion for working with young children, a commitment to the school ethos and coaching experience in at least two sports. The role involves coaching and supervising pupils during playtimes, as well as assisting the Head of Sport to deliver curriculum PE lessons and leading co-curricular clubs.

The position would suit someone with a Sports Science, sports-related degree, BTEC Sport or equivalent who has a passion for sport and is committed to developing talent. This will be an outstanding opportunity for a recent graduate to hone their coaching and teaching skills in a leading independent prep school.

This position is from September 2026 and is a one-year fixed contract to end in July 2027 (with the possibility to extend). Normal working hours are 09:45 to 17:15 Monday to Friday, during term time only. The Pointer School is a Real Living Wage employer; the annual salary for this role is £20-23k depending on experience and qualifications.

You must have the right to work in the UK, hold or be willing to obtain a valid DBS and be at least 18 years old.
