We are seeking a new outstanding Director of Music at our school with the skills and experience to lead this subject. You will join a talented, close-knit team at Eaton Square Prep School, Central London. Our school is an environment where our pupils excel in music and the Director of Music will need to foster musical talent at the school. You will inspire our pupils to love music as a subject and musical life at the school.
The role is full-time, working Monday to Friday, from 8:20am to 16:20pm term time. The right candidate will be supporting Year 1 - 6. You must be at least QTS trained, have acceptable and relevant qualifications in music, have successfully completed your NQT/ECT year and have the right to work in the UK.
Our ideal applicant will be kind in nature and confident in hitting the ground running within a lively school environment. The role demands fantastic organisation and the skills to assess, report on and record the development, progress and attainment of all ages of pupil. You will also be required to work closely with all members of staff at the school, supporting them to deliver the music curriculum to pupils.
A significant and exciting part of your role will also be to lead our school performances, plays, orchestras and ensembles. Above all, you will endeavour to provide the children with the highest standards of education and care in accordance with the school’s aims, policies and procedures.
