The Pointer School is an Independent Christian Prep school in Blackheath, Southeast London. We are seeking an inspirational, dedicated, and passionate teacher to join our thriving school as a full-time classroom teacher. As a non-selective school, we are looking for teachers who are willing to offer exceptional individualised learning, adapting to the needs of all learners in the class and challenging each pupil to achieve their academic potential. Our pupils leave us after Year 6 to attend the very best schools in London and the right candidate will be able to guide pupils towards this.
We have a strong family atmosphere and the successful teacher will become a key part of the continuation of this, supporting in the co-curricular life of the school and attending school events. Our school has an excellent reputation for pastoral care and we are looking for warm, caring teachers who will actively contribute to this important aspect of school life.
Candidates must have a teaching qualification, though the position is suitable for an experienced teacher or a dynamic ECT. This role will start in September 2026. Interviews will be held on Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd May 2026.
