Cardiff Sixth Form College invites applications for the post of UCAS Tutor (Online Summer Course). The UCAS Programme is a key part of the College’s university application support offering. The UCAS Programme Tutor’s role is to deliver exceptional support to students on all aspects of the UK university application process.
This opportunity comes at the most exciting period in the history of the college as we look to relocate to brand new, purpose-built premises in Cardiff Bay from September 2026. Cardiff Sixth Form College has led the UK independent school league tables for A Level results for over a decade and has big plans for the future. The UCAS Support Programme takes place from Friday, 14 August - Friday 21 August 2026. Gaining access to leading UK universities has never been more competitive and our UCAS Programme optimises students’ chances of success at the most selective universities. Through one-to-one and small group sessions with expert tutors, students are supported in all aspects of the university admissions process, including the personal statement and interview. This bespoke guidance ensures that students produce the best quality application possible. The 2026 UCAS Support Programme will be held virtually through Google Meet, or equivalent. All sessions will be held in BST (typically between 8:00-17:00), though many of our students will be overseas so a degree of flexibility may be required.
Purpose of the Role
This job involves tutoring aspirational students in how to get into top universities. We are looking for current undergraduates or postgraduates from top UK universities to join our bank of tutors for our bespoke UCAS programme, a one-week intensive online course where students draft their personal statements, participate in academic seminars facilitated by the tutor and receive interview support.

We require pre-employment checks to be completed before commencing employment. All applicants successful after the first stage will be invited to interview, which will take place online.
