Cardiff Sixth Form College invites applications for the post of Head of English & Languages. This opportunity comes at the most exciting period in the history of the college as we look to relocate to brand new, purpose-built premises in Cardiff Bay from September 2026. Cardiff Sixth Form College has led the UK independent school league tables for A Level results for over a decade and has big plans for the future.
The Head of English & Languages will be central to achieving the strategic objectives of the college. Able to deliver English Literature to A Level and both English Language and English Literature to IGCSE, the successful candidate will be a creative and dynamic practitioner, keen to lead a high-performing and dedicated team.
The Head of English and Modern Foreign Languages leads and manages a large department offering a suite of examined and non-examined subjects across key stages 4-5. These currently include:
- French
- German
- Mandarin
- Cantonese
- Russian
- English for Academic Purposes
- Critical Speaking
- The Extended Project Qualification
