DUKE Distribution is continuing to grow and we’re looking for professional and dependable HGV Class 1 (C+E) drivers to join our expanding transport team. This position is a full-time tramping role, Monday to Friday, typically involving a minimum of four nights out each week. Drivers who would like to boost their earnings can also take advantage of regular weekend overtime opportunities. Our work is varied and interesting, operating mainly flatbed trailers, with additional work available on curtain siders and step frame trailers.

Pay & Earning Potential

  • £14.50 – £15.00 per hour (Monday–Friday) depending on experience
  • £21.00 per hour for weekend work (Saturday & Sunday)
  • £30.00 night-out allowance
  • Weekly compliance bonus - with potential to earn an additional £1,300 per year
  • Damage Bonus - reduce the damage to your vehicle and earn up to an additional £2,000 per year
  • Additional bonuses available for Step Frame and Moffett work
  • 28 days annual leave, rising to 33 after 2 years service

Weekend shifts also include:

  • Guaranteed minimum hours
  • 6-hour minimum payment for Saturday run-ins
  • 8 hours paid for weekend overtime shifts

What We’re Looking For

  • A valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
  • Driver CPC qualification
  • Digital tachograph card
  • A professional and safety-focused approach to work
  • Confidence using a smartphone for job updates and delivery information

Moffett and IPAF certificates are beneficial, although training may be considered for the right candidates.
