Duffield Timber is a family-run business with a long-standing reputation for quality timber products. We are looking to bring on an experienced accounts assistant to support our day-to-day financial operations. As a valued member of our team, you will play a crucial role in managing finances and ensuring smooth business operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Handling credit control and managing overdue accounts.
  • Managing day-to-day financial operations including accounts payable and receivable.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
  • Providing general financial reporting and administrative support.
  • Maintaining financial records and documentation to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Assisting with the preparation of financial reports for management.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
  • Possess strong IT skills. Experience with Sage accounting software is preferred.
  • Experience handling high transaction volumes.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask.
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy.
