Job Purpose
To effectively manage and be responsible for the customer specification database and full signed off process of customer artwork. Manage customer alerts and keep abreast of legislative and customer requirements in a food manufacturing environment, ensuring that the business is compliant to all customer policies and standards. To liaise with Technical, Commercial and NPD colleagues from product concept to launch ensuring all product legalities are considered during the process. To effectively job share the role, ensuring that the role gives continuity to the business and meets the customer requirements fully.
Key Responsibilities
- To be responsible for the generation of product specifications and ensure their compliance to customer requirements.
- Provide a generic system of information transfer to suit the Technical needs of our business.
- To work to agreed deadlines with information and specification transfer.
- To represent the Company in technical matters as and when necessary.
- To be familiar with current legislation, codes of practice, Company policy and site rules.
- To ensure the accurate retrieval of product information required for each customers specification.
- To ensure each specification is transferred to the customers using their approved format and method.
- To assist in the maintenance of organic and kosher certification.
- To assist in the maintenance of the Quality Manual, BRC certification and customer audits.
- To generate label scripts and technically approve the checking of label Information artwork.
- To assist/support the Raw Material Technologist in supplier approval process.
- To be an effective support to the QA, Production and NPD Teams.
- To ensure good communications are maintained with customers and governing bodies.
- To ensure that products are capable of meeting both customer and process specification.
- To ensure all products comply with customer policy and brand standards.
Working hours
This is a part time role for 22 hours per week. The days / times can be flexible and will be discussed at interview stage.
