Hours

Monday – Friday: 08:00 – 17:00 (Monday – Thursday), 08:00 – 16:00 (Friday)

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working on-site, gaining practical experience.

What you\’ll do at work

• Assist survey teams with geospatial surveys
• Set up and operate survey equipment such as total stations, GPS, GNSS, and laser scanners
• Process data using software like AutoCAD
• Support health and safety procedures
• Establish survey controls, set out gridlines, levelling, traversing
• Record survey information accurately
• Attend training courses and complete academic work

Where you\’ll work

Training

Includes time away for specialist training at Dudley College of Technology, plus 20% off-the-job training at work.

Requirements

GCSEs including English and Maths (grades 9-4 / A-C). Relevant qualifications and experience can be considered for adjustments.

Skills and Other Requirements

• Physical fitness
• Basic IT skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office
• Full UK manual driving licence
• Right to work in the UK
• Willingness to travel nationwide
• Interest in geospatial surveying
