We have an exciting opportunity for an apprentice to join our construction site teams in the London North region. We work on a variety of interesting and challenging construction projects predominantly within the healthcare, education, and commercial sectors. You will attend block release at college and a HNC in construction built environment.

Responsibilities:

  • You will work with the site management team to ensure the projects are completed safely, on time, on budget, and to the correct specifications.
  • You will spend time in our different departments, such as site engineering, construction management, design, planning, digital, commercial, and pre-construction.
  • You will learn how we procure work, design, plan, and construct buildings for our clients.
  • You will become proficient in the application and use of a wide range of Company systems and software packages and also survey instruments.

Training:

  • Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training. You’ll study to gain professional knowledge and skills.
  • Identify risk of activities and encourage all employees to demonstrate safety-conscious behaviours.
  • Assess, identify and record the environmental impact of projects.
  • Assist in the implementation of the most appropriate solutions for construction projects.
  • Use effective management principles and be able to supervise construction workers.
  • Understand overall plan for project and measure and record progress against plan.
  • Assess and report on quality standards and assist in commissioning of finished construction projects.
  • Understand financial and legal constraints and measure and record progress against budget.

Your training plan includes:

  • Technician Level with CIOB - Chartered Institute of Building
  • Block Release at Dudley College - accommodation and travel is organised for you.

Requirements:

  • A Level or equivalent in Maths (grade 5 or above).
  • BTEC or equivalent in BTEC Extended Diploma (grade DMM to DDM).
  • Other A Levels (104 to 120 UCAS) (grade BCC to BBB).
