Our client, a trusted leader in oil and gas production equipment fabrication and refurbishing, is seeking a Shop Technician to join their growing team. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for mechanically inclined individuals who want to launch a long-term career in the energy industry.
Location: Darlington, PA
Pay: $18-$25/hr + benefits
Schedule: M-Th: 7am-4pm, Fridays: 7am-1:30pm (Potential for Fridays to be full days)
About the Role
In this hands-on position, you’ll work alongside experienced technicians to clean, prepare, and recondition oilfield production equipment. You’ll gain exposure to a wide range of mechanical processes, tools, and safety procedures in a supportive, team-based environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform basic mechanical tasks and use hand/power tools safely
- Pressure wash and flush production equipment
- Break down, re-plumb, and rebuild inlet, outlet, and drain lines
- Sandblast, prep, and paint equipment as needed
- Operate forklifts and assist with material handling
- Support senior technicians with equipment tear-downs and rebuilds
- Troubleshoot and repair basic mechanical issues
- Follow all company safety standards and operating procedures
- Contribute to field support operations as needed
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude and eagerness to learn
- Ability to follow directions and work safely
- Forklift experience preferred (training provided if needed)
- Oil & gas equipment familiarity a plus but not required
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
