Dudley Adult Social Care has a CQC rating of Good. The Commissioning Team is seeking two Quality and Safety Officers to help drive forward our ambitions for a sustainable, high-quality social care market, to ensure that the quality of Social Care Services provided to the citizens of Dudley are appropriate, safe and consistent and that the terms and conditions of the Council's contracts are being upheld.
This will be done by working directly with providers of services to facilitate development in a way that responds to the needs of Dudley citizens as communicated through Directorate's Adult Social Care Market Position statement and shaping plan. This will be done by monitoring and inspecting as necessary all aspects of contract compliance in relation to Contracts/Agreements issued by the Directorate of Adult Social Care to providers of services. Contributing via the monitoring process relevant information for the consistent operation of the commissioning cycle. Supporting all aspects of the work of the Commissioning Officers and Commissioning team including bespoke projects.

Responsibilities- Provide monitoring and oversight of commissioned services, ensuring compliance with contractual and commissioning requirements.
- Evaluate performance against demand, quality standards and market needs, supporting providers to improve services and deliver meaningful outcomes.
- Foster an enabling approach to monitoring activity.
- Facilitate and enable providers of services in the development and implementation of Quality Assurance, Quality Standard, Quality of Life and other systems and their continued monitoring to accord with contract requirements.
- Ensure ongoing monitoring and inspection of providers of services in relation to contractual compliance and legislative requirements.
- Experience in working within a Health or Social Care setting, including experience of the management of services.
- Experience of quality assurance systems.
- Experience of measuring performance against stated aims/objectives.
- Professional qualification in Health and/or Social Care, Level 4 Diploma in Adult Care (RQF) or equivalent.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and partnership-building skills.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a supportive team.
- A clear understanding of statutory Social Care requirements.
