We have moved to a new building and are expanding with new classes and a nursery, increasing capacity for 30 additional pupils. Pens Meadow School is seeking suitably qualified, inspirational, dynamic, and committed Higher Level Teaching Assistants to join our highly successful and dedicated team. Our school provides quality education for pupils aged 4 to 19 with complex learning needs, including medical conditions and autism.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop a specialist area within the school.
  • Provide line‑management support for other classroom staff.
  • Tune the focus of the role to match your skills and the developmental needs of the school.

Qualifications:

  • HLTA status or an equivalent qualification.
  • Creatively supportive, with strong relationships to staff and students.
  • Excited to support pupils’ varied needs and inspired by children’s curiosity.
  • Recognise and celebrate small steps that pupils with SEND make, providing exciting opportunities in line with our school values.
  • Right to work in the UK and able to provide documentation to prove this.
  • Subject to medical clearance and an enhanced DBS check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
