A qualified social work manager is sought to join the Integrated Front Door (IFD) and Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) team. You will be at the forefront of safeguarding children and ensuring their welfare, working with a range of professionals to provide high-quality support and intervention. The role involves managing a small leadership team and driving good and outstanding practice to improve outcomes for children and families.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the IFD/MASH team comprising Business Support Officers, Front Door Advisers and social workers.
  • Rapid triaging, screening, and assessment of safeguarding concerns for children, with referrals and decision making within statutory timescales.
  • Collaborate with professionals from social care, police and health to ensure fast, safe interventions and decisions.
  • Work alongside the Service Manager and Service Lead to drive innovation and best practice, contributing to high-quality services for children and families.

Qualifications and experience

  • Recognised social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent) and registration with Social Work England; eligible to work in the UK.
  • Experience within a MASH/IFD service, ideally in a managerial role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with children and families.
  • Excellent assessment and analytical skills with a sound understanding of relevant legislation and policy.
