Cotwall End Primary School is a community school in Sedgley which accommodates up to 420 children. We are a happy and caring school committed to providing the best for the children in our care. We are looking for a Level 2 Teaching Assistant/Learning Support Assistant to join our team. Monday to Friday, working 32.5 hours per week.

We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic candidate who is committed to helping every child thrive. The successful candidate will support high-quality teaching, nurture pupils' confidence and independence, and play an active role in our warm, inclusive school community. This role is central to ensuring all children receive exceptional learning opportunities.

Safeguarding and Application Information

We are committed to safeguarding the pupils; the post will be offered dependent upon an enhanced DBS clearance and at least two suitable written references, together with medical clearance. All applicants must provide references covering the complete 3 year period prior to application. Applications are anonymised for shortlisting purposes. Incomplete applications or submitted CVs will not be shortlisted. The school requires applicants to have the right to work in the UK. Sponsorship is not available for candidates without the Right to Work in the UK.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

  • Knowledge and Understanding of the National Curriculum and Interventions are essential.
  • Experience of working with children and managing behaviour.
  • The ability to work as part of a team, building relationships with children and staff.
  • A caring nature, able to support the emotional wellbeing of children.
  • An awareness of, and ability to apply, the school's Behaviour, Safeguarding and Health and Safety Policies.
  • A willingness for a flexible approach to work.

Salary: £19,096.16 - £19,836.66 actual salary per annum. Term time only, 39 weeks (number of working weeks). First year salary will reflect the number of working days remaining in the holiday year.
