Implement and undertake work in line with the Higher Level Teaching Assistants Standards. Contribute to planning, preparing and delivering learning activities and support programmes to individual or groups of pupils. Deliver and plan lessons for groups of pupils/whole classes. Support the class teacher(s) within school. Promote the inclusion of all pupils, ensuring they have equal opportunities to learn and develop. Assist pupils in developing academically, socially, and personally. Use behaviour management strategies in line with the schools policy and procedures to create a purposeful learning environment. Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Relevant Teaching Assistant Qualification or higher.
  • Good standard of education including English & maths (GCSE/Level 2).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working in a primary classroom setting with primary aged pupils.
  • Excellent behaviour management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
