- Provide critical operational and strategic leadership across the finance function.
- Take direct responsibility for budgetary control, financial reporting and day‑to‑day financial management, ensuring the organisation is supported by robust, high‑quality insight that underpins confident decision‑making at every level.
- Drive the modernisation of finance, embedding business partnering, streamlining processes and championing the use of data and technology.
- Build financial capability across the organisation, develop high‑performing teams and play a central role in delivering Dudley’s broader improvement and transformation programme.
- Work closely with elected members, the Chief Executive and partners to embed a true One Council approach, bringing together strong governance, clear priorities and the intelligent use of data, technology and resources.
- Operate confidently in a complex and evolving environment; build strong relationships, develop high‑performing teams and translate financial strategy into real impact for communities.
