We are looking to appoint a Band 6 District Nurse into our friendly and supportive Stourbridge District Nursing team. You must have effective communication and negotiation skills. As an advocate for our patients, you need to have the ability to inspire people at all levels. This post requires an understanding of the expanding role of community nursing and a commitment to advancing it. You should possess a sound understanding of the current primary care agenda, with excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills. Innovation and autonomy are essential, along with promoting a positive and supportive learning environment for team members and students.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop leadership skills in supporting the team leader. The post-holder is responsible for the ongoing assessment of care needs, and the development, implementation, and evaluation of care programmes. The post holder will carry out all relevant forms of care and will take responsibility for caseload management in their absence, including supervision and staff development.
