Overview

Team Assistant, Occupational Therapy Access and Prevention Team. Hours: 18.5 per week. Grade 5. Location: Brierley Hill Health & Social Care Centre, Venture Way, Brierley Hill. One permanent Team Assistant within the Occupational Therapy Service. Your role will be assessing people who have a disability or illness that affects everyday living. You will make recommendations for equipment and minor adaptations to promote independence and wellbeing to enable people to live within the community.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a part-time Team Assistant who is proactive in their approach, open to change and enjoy the challenge of influencing and implementing new ways of working. You will complete effective and timely screening of all Occupational Therapy referrals which may involve complete telephone assessment, same day visits, provision of equipment and signposting to ensure patients are safe in their home environment.

You will receive ongoing support and supervision from a qualified Occupational Therapist. We offer wide range of training and CPD opportunities to support your learning and development. This role includes a mixture of community visits, office presence and home working.

This post is subject to the DBS checking process. The successful candidate must hold a valid full driving license with business insurance and access to their own vehicle to drive around the Dudley borough.
