Overview

Teaching Assistant – Nursery role at Dudley Council. Part of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) team in a Governor led Nursery. 15 hours per week (Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 11:30am). Temporary contract initially until 31.07.2026. Start date from January 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the Nursery class as part of the EYFS team.
  • Assist with delivering high-quality, child-centered learning activities in a Nursery setting.
  • Support individual and small group work to meet the needs of children with a variety of needs.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting safeguarding and well-being.

Qualifications

  • A recognised Early Years qualification (see Government Early Years qualifications checker).
  • Experience as a Teaching Assistant within a Nursery or Foundation Stage is desirable.
  • Flexible team player with high professional standards and strong communication skills.
