LEVEL 3 TEACHING ASSISTANT
13 hours per week (2 days per week – days of work to be negotiated). 39 weeks per year. Hours of work: 8.45 a.m. to 3.45 p.m. with 30 mins for lunch. Rate of Pay: Grade 5; SCP 7-11. Start date: As soon as possible.

We are seeking to employ a Level 3 Teaching Assistant with a relevant NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) on a permanent contract, to start as soon as possible. The vacancy is likely to be based in KS1 initially and you will become an integral part of the team. You will work with children of all abilities in a whole class setting as well as withdrawing individuals and small groups for focussed support.

We Are Looking For a TA Who

  • Will work with children of all abilities in a whole class setting as well as withdrawing individuals and small groups for focused support.
  • Has had experience working in a primary school setting;
  • Has the ability to effectively support the learning and emotional needs of children;
  • Has a positive approach and a desire to understand and to support children’s needs;
  • Has high level literacy and numeracy skills (equivalent to GCSE grade C or above);
  • Is flexible and adaptable;
  • Works well under direction, but also shows initiative and can take ownership of tasks;
  • Enjoys working as part of a team;
