About The Role
We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Project Manager (Water Hygiene) to join our Property Compliance team. You’ll play a key role in ensuring that our housing and corporate properties meet all statutory and regulatory water hygiene requirements, managing the implementation of legionella control measures and maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance. This is a hybrid role, allowing you to combine office collaboration with the flexibility of working from home.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the Responsible/Authorised Person for water hygiene, ensuring compliance with ACoP L8, HSG 274 and all relevant legislation.
- Manage and monitor legionella control works, planned maintenance, and upgrades across DMBC-owned and managed properties.
- Develop and deliver effective water hygiene systems, processes, and performance monitoring.
- Liaise with colleagues, service managers, and housing teams to maintain strong communication and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Contribute to the development of service improvement plans and training initiatives.
Essential Qualifications
- Extensive experience managing technical professionals in property maintenance or facilities management.
- Strong understanding of water hygiene, legionella management, and social housing compliance.
- Recognised qualifications such as:
- Level 3 Award in Legionella Awareness RP
- IOSH Managing Safely
- BOHS P903 / P904 or City & Guilds equivalents
- City & Guilds Practical Water Hygiene Compliance Responsible Person (ACoP L8, HTM 04-01)
- Excellent communication, organisational, and IT skills.
- Full UK driving licence
