Housing Services is the landlord for the Council’s owned properties and offers a range of services to tenants and leaseholders.
An opportunity has arisen for the role of Operations Officer within the Housing Maintenance division which consists of teams responsible for Responsive Repairs, Void Repairs, Electrical, Roofing, Damp & Mould. We employ an in-house maintenance team that delivers a range of repairs and planned improvements to homes throughout the borough, ensuring that homes remain safe, comfortable and energy efficient.
The post holder will play an important role by assisting the Team Manager in their daily duties, to effectively manage resources and assets within Housing Maintenance. To assist in the daily delivery of a quality repairs and improvements service, meeting its service standards and financial targets. Assisting in achieving high levels of customer satisfaction along with managing trade colleague’s performance. Utilising directly employed engineers and contractors to deliver a full range of inspection, servicing and maintenance services. The post holder will also lead frontline service teams, which include craft colleagues, business support functions and contractors. Construction experience and knowledge of national federation rates is essential
