Overview

Learning Services Co-ordinator – Dudley Council’s Adult and Community Education team. Are you passionate about empowering adult learners and creating inclusive learning environments? We are seeking a proactive and compassionate Learning Services Co-ordinator to lead the delivery of learner support services that promote wellbeing, inclusion, and personal development. This role will oversee all functions that support learner induction, wellbeing, and progression, ensuring high-quality Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) and tailored support throughout the learning journey. Work aligns with the 2025 Further Education and Skills Inspection Toolkit and the Adult Skills Fund 2025/26 funding rules, helping meet national standards and local needs.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver inclusive learner induction programmes that foster confidence and belonging.
  • Provide and oversee high-quality IAG services to support learner progression, wellbeing, and personal development.
  • Lead on learner support initiatives, ensuring learners have access to emotional, social, and academic support.
  • Champion safeguarding, equality, and emotional safety across all learning environments.
  • Collaborate with curriculum teams, tutors, outreach and external partners to embed learner services into the wider educational offer.
  • Ensure compliance with inspection and funding frameworks, including GDPR and safeguarding protocols.
  • Promote learner services through campaigns, events, and community engagement.

Qualifications

  • A relevant degree or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Proven experience co-ordinating learner services or similar functions.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, GDPR, and funding regulations.
  • Experience delivering IAG and supporting learners in an educational setting.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
  • A commitment to inclusive education and continuous improvement.
