Independent Co-Chair of the of the Audit Committee
Dudley Council is seeking to appoint an Independent Co-Chair for the Council’s Audit Committee.
The Committee provides an independent review of Dudley Council’s governance, risk management, and control frameworks. It oversees the financial reporting and annual governance processes, as well as internal and external audits, ensuring efficient and effective assurance arrangements are in place.
Applicants should have recent and relevant financial experience and a broad understanding of the risk, control and corporate governance issues facing local authorities.
Physical attendance of approximately 6 formal Committee meetings per year. Formal Committee meetings are normally held at 6pm. You will also be required to attend informal meetings and training to support you in undertaking this role
An annual payment of £5,213 will be paid, together with reimbursement for travelling and subsistence expenses.
