Play a pivotal role shaping the future of Adult Social Care as Dudley Council undergoes an exciting period of renewal, driven by innovation, partnership working and a focus on sustainable, preventative and outcomes focused services. Dudley Council is seeking an exceptional Associate Director for Adult Social Care Operations to help shape a modern, high‑performing Adult Social Care service.
You will deliver our new strengths‑based, outcomes‑focused operating model and provide visible leadership across all operational services to ensure they remain safe, effective and financially sustainable. Key priorities include:
- Strengthening our front door
- Embedding strengths‑based practice
- Reducing admissions
- Promoting independence
- Leading crisis response and safeguarding
- Improving discharge and reablement pathways
You will also deputise for the Director of Adult Social Care and play a key role in the Senior Management Team. We are looking for a forward‑thinking, professionally registered leader with strong operational and transformational experience, deep adult social care expertise, and the resilience and integrity to inspire teams and deliver high‑quality, person‑centred services.
The Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable groups and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The post is subject to medical clearance and an enhanced DBS check.
