Job Details

Dudley MBC are seeking to appoint a Caretaker to join a self‑motivated, enthusiastic and hardworking team. This is an exciting opportunity to help maintain the security, cleanliness and safety of our housing estates and council buildings across the borough. We want to demonstrate Dudley’s commitment to diversity and inclusion and to improve bias in the recruitment process that could create barriers for candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with general site activities/tasks e.g. Building Inspections, Fire Safety Inspections, litter picking, minor repairs, compliance checks and general maintenance.
  • Carry out basic maintenance and ensure high standards of cleanliness.
  • Produce work to the required standards and work under pressure to deadlines.
  • Adhere to health and safety legislation and undertake training and development as required for the role.
  • Undertake building security including Fire Alarm testing and undertake compliance testing.
  • Carry out Fire Risk Inspections.
