Asset Management Officer – Dudley Borough
This role covers the whole of the Dudley Borough (approximately 15 miles wide from the centre). The role has the ability for combined office and home working but is primarily on site as a stock surveyor.
Overview
Your day as an Asset Management Officer might begin with a detailed inspection of a residential property, assessing its condition and identifying any necessary repairs. You could be working with your team to upload and analyse survey data, providing crucial insights that inform maintenance programmes. You may meet with an external contractor to discuss compliance with the latest construction standards, before heading to another site for a tenant’s request to carry out works.
You will play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the quality of Dudley’s housing stock. Each day will involve new responsibilities, including managing comprehensive surveys, working with external agencies, and addressing residents’ concerns about their homes. Your expertise will help ensure properties meet and exceed customer expectations while staying compliant with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed surveys and assessments of properties, advising on property conditions and contributing to the planning of future maintenance works.
- Upload, analyse and interpret survey data to inform maintenance programmes.
- Collaborate with external contractors and agencies to ensure compliance with current construction standards.
- Respond to residents’ concerns and support service delivery through detailed reporting and stakeholder communication.
- Travel around the borough as required; a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle are necessary.
