The Role
The Duco platform is trusted by some of the world's largest financial institutions globally. Product Managers play a critical role in maintaining and growing our status as a top-tier fintech company. We are looking for a seasoned Senior Product Manager who will own and execute the product strategy for one of the core product areas, aligning it to the company's overall product strategy and commercial targets, and who will delight in delivering value to our customers through existing and new features.
We are looking for a self-motivated individual with strong capital markets experience, a passion for crafting the best product, who is also organised, highly collaborative, talented at cultivating relationships across the organization, and confident engaging with C-level / senior executives.
What you will be working on
- Work closely with the proposition management, sales, client success, engineering and other teams to understand the target use cases and client segments that deliver our revenue targets, how the product is being used, and challenges experienced by our clients; glean insights from the analysis of this information to make a sustainable, future proof product.
- Define, develop and iterate the product strategy for the product area(s) you're responsible for in close collaboration with relevant stakeholders. Be its expert, its evangelist, communicate to internal teams, clients and the market. Continuously discover, experiment, validate ideas.
- Understand and represent the concerns and challenges of our clients with the mission of building a product that simplifies their work and brings them delight.
- Research and stay abreast of industry and market trends, competitors and how we position against them; maintain a pulse on new emerging technologies that could threaten us, or that we could leverage to our advantage.
- Manage product backlogs with engineering manager and team leaders; use expert decision making to prioritize highest-value objectives, make trade-off decisions to ensure goals and strategy are delivered, and make them visible to stakeholders.
- Translate product goals into business and functional requirements so they are clearly understood. Work closely with engineers in your squad(s) to implement and deliver.
- Work closely with Client Success, Solutions, and enablement teams to maximise feature adoption and bring client feedback for continuous improvement.
- Support client and prospect engagements, help our client-facing teams succeed in their roles.
Ideally, you will have:
- 10+ years in Capital Markets operations, experience in forming, improving and implementing mission critical, data heavy operational procedures.
- 5+ years of experience in Product Management and software development.
- Experience in C-level / senior stakeholder management, client relationship management.
- Evidence of product evangelism and thought leadership at previous firms.
- Expert judgment and decision-making skills; able to make trade-offs, negotiate, and prioritize actions with greater business strategy in mind.
- Leadership skills and mindset to motivate colleagues to achieve objectives together.
