Duco is on a mission to reduce the time spent on data-related work by 90%. Our enterprise data automation platform empowers teams to work more efficiently and meaningfully by giving them the ability to automate data controls with the latest technology, such as no-code, the cloud, and AI.

We help firms to start trusting their data, by giving them one intuitive platform to automate the front-to-back processing of all kinds of data (from structured Excels and RTFs to unstructured PDFs and emails). This eliminates the boring manual work across the data lifecycle and enables firms to act faster, work smarter, save money, reduce risk and comply with regulatory requirements.

We’re headquartered in London and have offices in New York, Wroclaw, Singapore, and Antwerp. We’re proud to call some of the largest global financial institutions our clients, including over 15 of the world’s largest international banks, as well as brokers, exchanges, asset managers, hedge funds, administrators, service providers and corporates.

This isn't a back-office bookkeeping job. You'll be the accountant of a company that builds AI agents for a living, and we practice what we preach inside our own Finance function. While most finance teams are still buried in manual processes, ours is actively rebuilding how the numbers get done: using AI to close faster, smarter, and free up real time for analysis over admin. You'll own month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting, working closely with a sharp, collaborative Finance team and reporting directly to the Financial Controller. If you want to be part of a finance function that's genuinely ahead of the curve, not just talking about AI, but running on it, this is where you do that.

We're looking for someone who treats a manual process as a problem to fix, not a task to repeat. Strong technical accounting is the baseline; what sets this role apart is the drive to find a better, AI-assisted way of doing the work.

What you will be working on:

  • Identify and lead the redesign of manual finance processes using AI and automation, rather than simply running them as-is.
  • Own and manage the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Prepare and maintain financial records, journals, and reconciliations, including hands-on posting and processing of transactions.
  • Support the preparation of financial reporting and analysis for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and accounting policies.
  • Work closely with the wider Finance team and business to support day-to-day financial operations.
  • Work with auditors on year-end related queries.

Working with AI at Duco:

We see AI as a genuine lever for how good teams work, not a gimmick. This is core to the role, not a bolt‑on: you'll be expected to actively re‑engineer how work gets done, not just use AI as a faster typewriter. In this role you will:

  • Use AI tools, including Claude, to automate routine finance processes, enhance reporting efficiency, and improve data analysis.
  • Identify where AI adds real value across the Finance function, and where it does not, and act on it by redesigning the underlying process, not just bolting AI onto the existing one.
  • Support continuous process optimisation through AI‑assisted workflows and reporting.
  • Champion safe, responsible use of AI that respects data handling, financial controls, and Duco's internal policies.
  • Come prepared to walk us through a specific process you've redesigned or automated using AI or scripting, what changed, and what it saved.

The Requirements:

  • ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified (fully qualified only).
  • Demonstrated experience redesigning or automating a finance or accounting process using AI or scripting tools, beyond using an AI chatbot for drafting or Q&A.
  • Experience with ERP systems. Specifically NetSuite experience is a must.
  • Hands‑on experience posting and processing transactions and running day‑to‑day operational finance work.
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for getting the numbers right.
  • Experience working in a fast‑paced finance or accounting role, ideally within a growing business.
  • Solid knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and priorities.
  • A collaborative mindset, someone who enjoys working with different teams and solving problems.

The Reward Package:

  • Private Medical Insurance and Healthcare Cash back Plan.
  • 4* salary life assurance.
  • Unlimited annual holiday, because we trust our people to manage their own time off.
  • Enhanced family leave.
  • Employee Assistance Programme.
  • Cycle to Work and Tech Scheme.
  • 4 Volunteering days off.
  • Flexible working policy (2 days per week in office).
  • Opportunity to work abroad for up to 6 weeks per year.
  • Personal learning and development opportunities.
  • Referral bonus if we hire someone great who you’ve recommended to us.
  • Spot Rewards.
  • Employee of the Month and Employee of the Year awards.
