Your Team and Role

In this role, you will leverage your empathy, critical thinking, and wealth of experience to empower individuals and teams across DuckDuckGo to achieve our goals. You\’ll provide guidance through high-touch performance management, which will require you to constantly learn about new domains in order to provide exceptional support. You\’ll apply this same quality bar to your support of Functional Teams as they navigate the changes that come with a scaling tech organization.

Our People Ops organization is hands-on and committed to working closely with team members across DuckDuckGo to support and meet the organization\’s evolving requirements as we scale. You\’ll provide hands-on HRBP support and advisory to 8-12 functional teams by leading performance improvement processes, investigating team member relations concerns, assessing when teams require additional support to meet the organization\’s needs, and managing related projects. Recent projects include:

  • Analyzing data from the annual engagement survey, developing company communications, and determining next steps

  • Restructuring the Functional Lead role, including updating expectations and responsibilities

  • Developing and launching relevant metrics for Functional leaders

  • Investigating Career Advisor capacity for advisees and piloting an experiment

About You

  • 7+ years of People Operations experience working in a fast-paced, tech-driven organization, with experience in HRBP or HR leadership activities, including leadership development, performance management, process development, organizational behavior, workforce planning, employee relations, team member engagement and belonging.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively resolve complex engagement, performance, and employee relations issues with discretion, humanity, and critical thinking.

  • Ability to adapt an HR Business Partner mindset to a distributed environment and identify the highest impact ways to partner with our teams.

  • Pragmatic and analytical, with a proven track record of creating data-driven projects, process improvements, and substantive change within high-growth organizations.

  • Ability to lead and collaborate on high-impact and complex projects from proposal through postmortem with all levels of stakeholders.

  • Skills to wrangle vague problems, in an ambiguous environment, propose innovative solutions, and execute them independently with a strong focus on metrics.

  • Proven conflict resolution skills and keen emotional intelligence.

  • Demonstrated excellent use of project management or similar software.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Compensation

$ 178,500 USD annually and stock options. Compensation is identical within professional levels , regardless of geographic location or team. Compensation for each professional level is transparent across the organization.

  • While we offer a flexible work arrangement with no core hours, expect an average full-time commitment of 40 hours per week.
